General Election Specifics
Election Day for statewide and legislative (House and Senate) officials, special districts (public service commissioners, transportation commissioners, and district attorneys), and all counties in Mississippi will be on November 7, 2023. Qualified Mississippi residents (who are registered to vote) are free to choose from any candidate for each eligible office. There is no requirement to select a single political party or “stick with” a particular political party for all choices. If no candidate receives more than 50% of the votes, a primary runoff election will take place on November 28, 2023.
2023 General Election Sample Ballot
Please note that the above sample ballot covers the entire State. Each voting district will not have all the House and Senate and other district races listed here. It will, however, include all statewide contests and the relevant district and local contests. The Secretary of State offers a Polling Place locator (lookup results include a sample ballot for your address).
